Hey Steve

Good morning. I think I get up when you are going to bed.

Got my tickets to San Jose for the meeting. Like to hear where we're at. Have to go to Riverside anyway to work on my wife's Aunt's Estate. My wife is Executor. No it is no windfall for us. The Aunt had no children so the Estate is divided up among 20 nieces & Nephews.

One thing I found out is I wouldn't die as a resident of Calif. Too many ways to get screwed. If I were a Calif resident I would use a living trust.

Ron

Hi, steve . . .

Clearly the traffic on the thread has decreased, and it might be interesting to speculate as to why.

Part of it must be company-related. We have probably uncovered most of what is publicly available, and now news turns up less frequently. This is even more true as IDX has turned from live scan (actual sales and resellers) to bio-ID (potential sales, or just rumors). There's more to find in the live scan arena than the bio-ID arena. The other company-related effect is the non-movement of the stock price over the past couple of years, and the consequent moving on of some posters to the thread -- without full replacement by newbies.

However, I also think a lot of the decrease has to do with a decline in SI postings generally. I have a number of threads bookmarked under the "old" SI system, which shows when the latest post has been made, and it is very obvious that traffic is down across all my monitored boards. Why? Maybe the first rush of use has petered out; maybe the new owners of SI have made it unfriendly enough to deter users (I do believe this is true); and/or, maybe the rise of Yahoo has drawn off some attention.

If and when IDX comes through with major good news, the thread will get very busy again. Until then, we're in a quiet period.

Could be the effect of Ascom keeping a lid on the stock price until the revenue announcement could effectively snuff the rally. I'm kind of looking the other way until after Jan. 1, although if earnings will be below estimates, Randy may give shareholders a bone to chew just before or immediately after the earnings release. go idx
