Yup, my bet is a slow-motion crash.

A real market crash on Monday seems too obvious. So
my guess is just a "bad" week, followed by more
"bad" weeks. When the totals are finally
counted people will suddenly realize they've
been through a crash and that they're a lot poorer,
sparking a bear frenzy.

Easier to boil the frog that way.

I guess this scenario simply because the psychological
conditioning (buy on dips, the market always goes
up) will take a long while to erase.

But then again, what do I know. I'm just an otter.
