Eric L: Thanks. I was trying to say that my understanding is that the introduction of 1XRTT in Korea and Japan would be beginning this year and then spread in early 2000. And that that is an enhancement of CDMAOne. And that the introduction of 1XRTT would be the first step toward CDMA 2000 3XRTT. Said so unclearly. And perhaps substantively incorrectly.

I have no info on a date when 3XRTT will be introduced in Korea, Japan or anywhere else. Like you, I have found no such info anywhere. Hoped you might have seen something on it.

But have seen nothing to indicate a real world commercial introduction date for WCDMA in Japan or elsewhere either. That's why I asked for the basis for your statement on WCDMA.

The evolution of both data tracks - that toward 3rd gen from CDMA and from GSM - are both unclear at this point to me. Perhaps we will know more in the next couple of months.

Whenever I pick up any useful info, will pass it on.

Best
