I didn't see the interview but at least the guy has showed some empathy for NITE given that he was blindsided. He reiterated his $98 target and rating on Oct 1 around the same time some of the other analysts were in the process of dropping their numbers again. I believe that NITE had presented at CIBC's conference in late September.

That reminded me of ORCL in 93 when I was the the high estimate on the street with a 1Q estimate about 50% above consensus. After "consultations", I decided to split the difference as the quarter progressed. In the end, ORCL did 25% above my original estimate. I could live with that kind of surprise.

BTW, whatever is good for NITE's stock price is likely going to help the OLBs and vice-versa. If you want to play the sector recovery, your EGRP is probably a good bet. Jefferies, in the past, based their price targets for NITE based on a discount to the OLBs.
