Again Francoise, no proof of new legislation or restrictions of any kind going into place, just brokers stopping shorting to keep the heat off. Heat that's brought by insiders and promoters doing scummy deals, not naked shorters. You didn't just dream up the October 23 deadline,(or did you) either give a legitimate source or please shut the hell up. It's amazing that you can twist some made up post by one of the few people on SI more dubious than yourself, Afrayem Onegwecher(turd stock tout king) and an article about Cannacord stopping shorting because of all the insiders and promoters that do it and get them in trouble, and turn it into the end of all shorting. Even more amazing that people are willing to go along with it.
Though Francoise of course failed to hilite it, everyone should be sure and read the last paragraph of the post he copied.

Whether this ends so called "naked shorting" remains to be seen. Frankly, the incidents of actual naked shorting is much, much less than people think it is. Most of the cases referred to in the memos and press deal with instead illegal insider selling. Insiders and promoters in "pump and dump" schemes take big blocks up stock up north and use Canadian brokers to dump it into the market. Naturally, this kind of massive selling depresses the market, which the insiders and promoters (the very people selling) are blaming on "naked shorters".

PS, I left a spelling error in just for you, Francoise.

FG; once again, you've proven to be correct: 'naked-shorts-no-more' with Canadian brokerage firms...gee, we're going to miss the shorts soooo much; sw
