Jon, Gene Siskel is no longer with us. . . There is protocol for net broadcasts of a station to numerous users via the internet. That is a unique invention. Person-to-person conversation via the internet is another unique invention. And multiple party 2-way chat via the internet is another unique invention. Each of these inventions may have between 1 and a dozen patents on the process used to achieve the technology. . . .and each subsequent party wishing to use one or more of these patented processes, must first be granted license by the patent holder. That is where Real Networks makes dough . . and that is where Hearme.com makes will make its dough.

Even though all three of these are means of communications, their use differs greatly. . . and their technology is quite different. . . and unique.

Broadcast = 1 to many
Telephony = 1 to 1 or more directly and privately
Chat = many to many generally without privacy
