True, each of these processes may have some patents, but that does not eliminate functionally equivalent patents. Drug companies have the same patents for their drugs, but a lot of them do the same thing. RealNetworks is the standard, and I don't think it is because of their patent... it is because of their marketing. Other players exist with their own patents.

One to many and party IP-voicechat does not appear to be a patentable process just like making tissues is not a patentable process. There are just too many 1-1 sites that use the underlying technology already, and they all have different patents. Why not with 1-many and many-many? The underlying technology is no different.

Just my opinion.
