Not sure, but I think this means that they are under no obligation to purchase, but you are under an obligation to sell. I would definitely consult a securities lawyer before writing what looks like may be a free Nov 15th 62.5 Call on those TLAB shares.

Note the misspelling. Maybe a typo by the poster on TLAB thread. But if not it doesn't give me a warm feeling about the offering party.

When I held Zilog shares a year or more back I received an offer somewhat like that, but much more on the up & up. Texas Pacific group was taking them private. This one is strange and I think jhild has a good point. My suggestion is to start with your brokerage asking questions. Also since there is a fee involved...one may do better selling on the open market. The web site you've posted has a very non-professional look IMO.

Please keep us informed as to what you find, because I'm like you...clueless.
