Watching NOVL

I haven't looked at the charts recently for moving averages trends. Looking intraday there has been a heavy downward bias on the MM2 screen. Lots of large trades.

But this whole effort to push the market down goes against the state of the economy. Eventually the Fed move will be discounted in the market and those moving into cash will come back because of the bargains. Look at what you can pick some of these stocks up for at this point --- CPQ trading at 19 13/16ths!

IMHO there's only one thing that could resemble anything close to a catastrohpy for NOVL - Eric Schmidt leaving Novell.

Other than that, no news could dampen this stock to this point.

Honestly, it doesn't appear that Dr. Schmidt is leaving unless someone someplace pulls the carpet out from under his feet and forces him to quit.....

Windows2000 alone can not bury Novell or NetWare - and it's been Novell's stated policy that NDS is their MAIN product of the future. Right now NetWare accounts for much but within the next 1-2 years, that will all change.
