Only if the long trade was not marked "provisional" or "covering short", as his short trade is assumed not to exist.

I understand that you saw the original post, but a similiar situation happened between Scott & TT, and the ruling was based on the "no post, no trade" policy. A post just ain't a post if it ain't there now. ;o)

Thanks, but I can tell by the first line in David's Post the CFTC is going to rule in favor of the Clearing House, I'm afraid.
