IBM is not withdrawing from retail; actually it plans to ape your idol, Dell, by selling on the internet. That is still the retail market and for certain items like pcs, its proving to be a very successful venue.

And doesn't the Aptiva line include the PIII? They will be on the net as well.

Paul, You dummermutzel, IBM is not leaving retail, they are changing their retail channel to a direct one and will keep some distributed products.
Read the releases more carefully next time.
