JDN, Indeed the Wheaten has reddish-blonde hair. The camera's flash (probably) makes the blonde appear whiter than it may be.

<<This is a very special puppy. >>

They all are. Our chessie that we got in '84 had several show titles in his pedigree and also several field trial champs. We ran him in some trials and got a bunch of ribbons, wife got several obedience ribbons with him. At the field trials several chessie judges said he would easily win a show title but we never did the show route.

He visited nursing homes, put on a show of retrieving a the U of I vet school. Did a demonstration at the state fair by way of invitation of the Department of Conservation. He also helped my wife feed and water the horses and was one great hunting dog.

Now we have a mixed whatever from the Humane Society. She was 8 months old instead of 6 weeks so bonding took longer. She helps my wife somewhat with the horses, goes out to get the paper with me in the am. She will start nursing home duty soon. My wife has been running her in agility and she could be a champ but my wife is too slow, or the dog too fast. She, the dog, runs the obstacles too fast for a person to keep up.
