Why should Intel abandon a price war?

Intel put $1,900,000,000 in AFTER TAX profits into their bank account last quarter.

Seems that the AMD Jihad PRICE WAR only hurt AMD - which, as usual, posted another loss of over ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS !
