Ron, re: "The way I read the slightly biased conclusion is that the Lyra,Rio,Nomad do not have a "removeable" storage medium."

Slightly biased?

The Wall Street Journal recently published an article stating that AMD's "Sledgehammer" CPU would be "incompatible with software designed for Intel processors." In reality, AMD's chip is designed to run all of the software in use today while Intel's next-generation chip is not.

WSJ's editors responded to my inquiry that the author meant to say that AMD's future chips would be incompatible with future software written for future Intel chips. Despite agreeing that the article said something entirely different, they didn't feel that a retraction or correction was in order.

Let's see if MSNBC follows up with the correction.

I received the following response from Steven Kent:

"No, you are reading right. I had a large error n my article which has been
pointed out to me and a correction has been sent in to MSNBC. Thank you for
doing me the courtesy of bringing it to my attention.

Steven L. Kent"
