There is nothing more inherently illogical than this fact. Because you place all your faith in the managers of the fiat.

<<Gold is a USELESS ASSET for the US and the IMF... and now it is the same for the Europeans.

Reserves EXIST for the purpose of being used to maintain stability in your national currency. If they can't be expended or bought to accomplish that purpose, they are nothing more than wasted chunks of matter taking up space in a vault.>>

You know Ron, I fought with this argument as with your argument of subsidizing the mining industry. As to the first, it seems many(including those in the White House) were informed of the plan to sell all the gold while others of us had no such knowledge.

In this case by holding the gold the US taxpayers are cutting checks to miners or by selling the US taxpayers are cutting checks to the shorts & This President & his wife - the "commodities futures expert".

Which would you rather do, pay those who work for a living mining a precious metal of limited supply or those who manipulate the market under the threat of sale of gold which no longer exists?

The base probem is "You believe that A%S-H(*# in the White House who has proven before he can LIE well. The gold is GONE Ron, FACE UP TO IT! When the gold has been fully inventoried & audited, then you can say we are supporting the miners. Currently, we know we have a liar and a thief in the front office, whom we are supporting. Would you rather support hard workers or(proven) liars & thieves?

When you can prove the "reserves that are just taking up space" still exist, or this President can even speak the slightest truth, get back to us. OK?
