TER sold off because their book to bill was less than one.

Sue Billat had a superb thought regarding this.

Obviously, The Street agrees. AMAT, NVLS, and LRCX sold off big time this am, but they are all making solid comebacks. The same is true for their smaller cousins.

Bob,

I think their BtB is less than 1 because there's not too many DRAM makers that are ordering any more RDRAM testers. Now that Nintendo has announced that their next generation game will use DDR SDRAM, the prospects for RMBS are becoming increasingly bleak.

JMHO,
Ian.

Gottfried, Their BTB was .9856. This means that business was OK but not outstanding going forward. But is this a reason to tank a stock from 41 last week to 27 today? This kind of thinking worries me. The same thing happened to VECO . In the last quarterly report the BTB was .99 and the stock got hammered. No matter that they beat estimates and estimates were raised for this quarter. In my opinion the BTB number is taking on a life of its own. What would happen to to CYMI stock if they beat estimates and report that revenues will only be up modestly next quarter? Quien Sabe?
