wow, a couple of so so earnings report from aol and ibm and naz futures are already down -30. if that's any indication, naz futurs were up about 30 yesterday, we could give back a huge chunk of today's gains tomorrow.

i'm puzzled as to what people were actually expecting from ibm. ibm was trading as high as $140 or so a few months ago and it's now trading down at $110 for a good reason. anyone who was expecting stellar numbers from ibm has got to have a few screws loose.

it looks like tomorrow may be one of those throw the baby out w/ the bath water type days and ask questions later. unfortunately msft is not bulletproof and as good as their earnings were just yesterday, they are not immune to a downdraft in the overall market.

in the long run, msft could be a beneficiary of all the money that may be leaving ibm tomorrow. we msft shareholders know that we own the best company in corporate america bar none. when the markets do shake off the ibm earnings which could be sooner than we think, it's likely that the next leg up will be led my msft.

good luck everyone, you can sleep well owning softee.
