Interesting. I always thought it was a bit of a myth that an old 486 PC can surf the Web as well as a PIII, when one has fast Internet access, but I haven't really tested this theory out.

Haim,

The IRQ setup they have in PC's is just ridiculous. I have 2 PCI slots still available and am already out of IRQ's even with a COM port and USB disabled to free two more up. You may want to disable something you're not using to free up some more and think about getting one of those new Matrox cards that supports dual monitors off of one AGP card (only 1 IRQ req'd).

...1 Soundcard 2 monitors one analog modem and one DSL IRQ's get scrambled. <GG>...

Also, a great shareware program which lists IRQ's and hardware assignments that I found handy in solving my problems.
