IBM's in the Dow. Personally I don't think that the mainframes issue is that big a deal, but the Street needs reassurance now that there isn't a similar freeze in the market for related electronics and software. The whole Y2K spectre is scary for many.

We need to hear from Cisco and Sun...fast...though I doubt they face the same problem.

This doesn't mean anything to the big Internet leaders.

I havent heard why there is so much doom out tonight a program I was watching a few minutes ago said we are in for very high losses tomorrow I havent been trading very long and dont expect to be able to understand the mkts but this is beyond my understanding If a copany reports earnings and has the outlook AOL has and the stock looks like it is going down 7 pts it is a mkt I cant understand and better to be out than in George Schulte
