It shows that the attention span of those on Wall Street is less than a week, because during the Sun conference call less than a week ago, McNealy and Zander said that they were NOT seeing a slowdown due to Y2K. I think IBM et al may be using Y2K as a whipping boy -- what will they blame their mediocre performance on NEXT quarter? I think their real problem is that Sun is kicking their collective *sses. Or perhaps it's just easier to "lockdown" the applications IBM serves than it is to slow the expansion of the Internet. I'm not impressed with Paine Webber. JMHO, of course.
