The filter I need is something that will keep me out of trading it when it gets very choppy like today.

Though as best as I recall, there have been only about three days like this one when it got really choppy and gave multiple signals

Most good signals are good for 8-10 points when they trigger

Actually, I think the problem is not so much another filter, but the type of trading today. It has been choppy and the runs shallow. Tom's system is designed for better intraday trends than we have seen today. Today he has been spanked.
