DSL is a point to point connection (from your home to the CO, where the DSLAM is located at). Where cable is a shared network. A cable loop is connected for the area and people share the network. People can hack into each others network. big problemo.

good decision with dsl. you should have gone with a clec dsl (i.e Covad or Northpoint). The phone companies over subscribe people on their network (gte 28:1 and pac bell 35:1) which is horrible.
