You should go to the MDA thread and read some of the housing comments from last night. Seems that city areas are not incerasing in price, but urban areas are. I don't think we have runaway inflation but we have more inflation than the gov numbers indicate. I am now paying 20-25 cents higher for fuel. Coupled with the projected bad winter and Y2K I expect fuel costs to rise. Also in my industry (printed circuit boards) costs are rising for supplies and equipment. This will have to be passed on to the buyer and end up at the consumer.
We have hit the wall of productivity gains for now...

The problem you fail to see is if a slow down in the economy happens with the credit bubble, consumers will stop spending and coperate profits will decline and so will earnings on Wall Street.

Did you live out here in the 1980s?? If so you can see a mirror image of today.
