Nice find Steve!

We starting installing the first of our Athlons (using MSI motherboard). Geez they are fast! I know that most of what you see immediately is just the video card (G400 w/32 meg SGDRAM) and disk, but it's enough of a difference to be obvious.

Zero compatibility problems so far (since we run a mixed Solaris PC-NFS, Netware, NT server, Linux SMB network, and some older home grown models together with output from newest development tools, we usually have some problems getting everything to cooperate on new machines, but so far, so good)

The first batch was just 550s, but the next group will be 600s (I always spec 1 notch down from the fastest - saves money and saves problems)

If I can come up with some kind of a benchmark without having anybody spend too much time, I'll post it.
