We shouldn't romanticize the Woodstock era too much. Recall the horrific scene at the Stones concert at Altamont. (Where Tina Turner stole the show IMO) My memory, which is not exactly crystal clear, is that something changed around 1974 or 1975. It used to be at a concert there would be frisbees flying and beachballs being batted around the crowd. Then, rather abruptly, frisbees and beachballs turned into firecrackers and bottles. I walked away from the rock scene shortly after that.

ND, I heard something on the TV the other day that, it has been established that none of the juveniles that have murdered, raped, or committed other felony offenses were ever spanked by their parents. Fishy boy there, needs a message applied to his gluteous maximus that will be sent to his cerebreal cortex.

When people argue that the regulation of guns leads to increased violence, they fail to see the salient point. Why would anyone who is intent on killing another person be concerned about the possibility that their victim might posses a gun? Maybe it's just me, but I don't think many murderers would be too worried about that particular statistic.
