These chips from Reliance COMPETE in the market place with Intel - Intel has nothing to do with their quality.

However, when THREE or FOUR major Server manufacturers SELECT a CHip set from Reliance, i would have to assume it has COMPELLING features vis-a-vis Intel's server chip sets (440 GX and 450NX).

In showing off those Merced, er, Itanium samples last month, Intel's engineers exceeded expectations, meeting a deadline that had been in doubt, both inside and outside the company. That was quite a technical achievement.
