Heinz, re: no one warning about possible IBM shortfall You must have forgotten about September options expiration. I forget the person, but someone really hammered IBM that day and warned that investors would be spooked about the hardware sales problem. As for being company specific, Dell said demand is still very robust. Their problem was with component (memory)pricing. Microsoft said PC demand was huge. Thus, one can very well conclude that the problem IS IBM specific. They have not executed well. Period.
