Cool X... hey I have a question for the lawyers. Something very strange is happening to me...

I have never had an account at e-trade and for a few unusual reasons last night I discovered that one of the companies in the area opened an "optionslink" account there in my name with my SS#, and an address that I had 10 years ago. I never worked for this company, although I think I may have consulted there for 2 days 10 years ago, once (but I can't remember the terms of that deal - whether I was working for myself or Oracle).

Optionslink is a type of account that only companies can open for their employees that have stock options. So in a high tech company this size, a lot of people have options, but it is by no means everyone in the company. E*trade says the account was opened about 6 weeks ago and there is not activity and nothing in the account.

My real name is pretty common and I'm wondering if my name is being used as some sort of corporate embezzlement scam.. the scary thing is that I really did have that address 10 years ago, but only for a brief period... how would anybody know that... the company might have the address on file as a former consultant but I don't know any firm that keeps things like that live for 10 years... maybe they do... ugh!

Actually, I was thinking that they were having a good time, and we ought to leave them alone. Edwarda is talking about her love life, as usual, Neo is posting song lyrics, as usual, Sidney is hyperventilating about the persecution of Christians, as usual, etc., etc., etc. Michael M. finally has someone to listen to his gas, JLA seems to have found people he doesn't need to attack for being on the "wrong" end of the political spectrum, etc., etc., etc. All's well that ends well, wouldn't you say?
