When I toured the boards yesterday it seemed it was a rumour started by the shorts (apparently they are at a 12 month high?) to bring down the nasdaq. CSCO was chosen because no one would believe a rumour about INTL or MSFT
trouble. (This is what I picked up on the CSCO boards)

I think CNBC should be investigated by SEC. They pass the mike to Maria to say "What did you hear, Maria?" The last time they made Bonnie say it about AOL/ATM. Don't tell me GE doesn't set communication protocals for the show. GE stinks. Just more big money manipulating information to catch the newest guy into the game.

CNBC stinks. The are "DISINFORMATION CENTRAL" , "SKEW-THE-NEWS" and "DOUBLE DOUBLE SPEAK SPEAK'.

Rumours started circulating Friday, made more dramatically available by CNBS by 3:30p.m., that CSCO was either going to pre-announce (earnings shortfall) after the closing Friday.
