That is much, much better than your last croquet match story. That was a good story but sounded rather... humiliating might be too harsh a word. Congrats, X. I would think winning a croquet match is a sure seal of elitism. And Oscar would have play half-crocked.

I was beside myself wondering about this all day. "How did X DOOO at the croquet match!" Please put that oh so large and wonderfully gaudy trophy on the mantle. We are so proud! I bet we're the only thread on SI who has a croquet champeen on it. There is no question in our minds that the champagne is what turned the tide for you. But allow me to give you this attractive little velvet drawstring purse for your wine bottle--- the brown bag just won't do. Did you actually remove some of that lace on your skirt?? I thought it was so nice--- you looked like one of those little toilet paper cover dolls my grandmother used to crochet. But whatever it takes to win, we understand.
