I retired from IBM in 1992 after years of service! I can remember that in 1958 or so when the employee stock purchase plan first went into effect, I was forever chasing the stock price to purchase a share. At one time it went to as high as $540 a share!! IBM stock price was traded frequently at $500 or even $600 + a share! in the 1950s and early 1960s after System 360 was announced in 4/64!!
