Rande,

I never really considered solar panels a fad that went away. I think that three factors have kept their usage to a minimum. (1) People are too cheap to pay extra when building a new home.
(2) Govt. failed to provide tax breaks to compensate for increased initial cost (call me paranoid, but I think big oil interests had quite a bit to do with that)
(3) Decreased fossil fuel prices in general.

Regards,
Robert
p.s. I have a small Wit account and have my offer for a 100 shares however I never get the good ones, only table scraps :)
