I'm all for cutting expenses. Its just that I have done a fair amt of reading about the turn of the century and imo some things are better managed by some form of gov't... example fire protection, private fire protection didn't work... privatized police - is anybody comfortable with that? And the transportation infrastructure - we need these things... Just as a general comment, I see too many people reaping the benefits of the system (public schools etc.) and then when it comes to their turn to pay they demand "tax reform"... meanwhile my generation still has to fund their social security... doesn't seem fair to me and I doubt it will fly... now if the tax reformers are willing to cut all entitlements, medicare etc. then we might have something...
