re cnbc. for 6 months i spent an hour per day watching those clowns. we reduced cable channels 2 weeks ago, i have gained an hour per day with no loss of intelligent input on stocks--you get that here. it's been said before--cnbc is a soap opera...empty and addicting.
i do miss maria tho--oh well, we still get baywatch!

Pick up a phone and call csco. someone did and they responded no change in their est.. What is so difficult?

Well what is Cisco IR going to say, "oops, you caught us, we're going to preannounce after the bell today"? As if. And anyway, would that not constitute that nasty "selective disclosure" everyone is complaining about?

Many people imo that watch cnbc run when something like this happens and sell. From experience I have know friends do this and it causes anguish.

Oh, anguish! Yes, let's never report news that might cause anguish, definitely!

I still say is better to know what is causing people to sell than to watch the selling and be otherwise left completely in the dark.

my suggestion is wait until after the bell if its in the last 1/2 if they cannot confirm a rumor on the floor

Again: And do what in the meantime? Pretend they don't notice the price falling? Lie and say they have no idea what is going on? What if the rumor had turned out to be true and they had sat on it until it was too late for their viewers to react to it? Talk about causing anguish!

Bottom line, whatever CNBC does is going to piss someone off.
