catcher, I expect the stock to drop a bit as the courts announce which Friday the fact findings will be released. If for example it is this Friday, i would expect a selloff on the news but i would think that people will load up on Friday and push the stock higher.

My reason is the worst case is already priced into the stock. Even if there is some hope for MSFT, the stock goes up past 100, easily!!
If it is as bad as expected, the stock stays in the mid 90s for a little longer(unless the market itself starts to rocket up).

Well, Microsoft seemed to be very aggressive on the forward expectation of its future earning this time , which is quite different than before , since the trial began , Microsoft always kept a low profile. Why Microsoft changed so much right before the judge is going to make his ruling ?
1) Microsoft already knew the ruling ? or a settlement is in the making ? or just because the trial is almost finished, Microsoft can start its normal business which should not be influence by the trial, no matter the ruling is in Microsoft's favor or not.

2) Or Microsoft was just in sympathy of Intel's earning report ?
