Heinz,

Just noticed something. The DOW is down 103, but the TICK is only at negative-280. On the positive side, one can say that the TICK is not that negative, but from a negative position one could say that if that TICK was to drop below the negative 500 range, things could get a bit ugly today.

Heinz, all those geeks fail to understand that the world does not need PIII for e-mail, faxes, data entry or wordprocessing.

Everyone that bought in expectation of Y2K will rest now for a long while.

I recently up-graded to an Athlon 500Mhz from a K6 200Mhz, still I am not sure what real improvement in productivity I got. Takes me as long to write this as with a K6 who handled 2 monitors ASDL, 56K modem and other gadgets quite nicely.

As to mathematical analysis it takes about the same deciding what to do with the results takes the time not computing it.

So who needs faster computers?? and how can one justify the investment from an economic point of view?? My 17" color monitor from 1995 still works great on 65K colors why a new one??
