Paul - RE: "Didn't AMD post Spec Benchmarks based on an AMD motherboard that STILL ISN'T commercially available - even today ???"

At the official website, they used the Microstar MB.

Paul,

AMD's board was the REFERENCE BOARD. IT was intended to be the REFERENCE (i.e. STARTING POINT) for MAINSTREAM COMMERICAL AND DESKTOP BOARDS.

The 840 is NOT DESIGNED TO BE A DESKTOP CHIPSET. Therefore the RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION as you call it.
