Intel chief Barrett files to sell $27.4 mln in stock
WASHINGTON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Intel Corp. (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) President and Chief Executive Craig Barrett filed to sell $27.4 million in Intel stock, according to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Barrett filed on Oct. 20 to sell 400,000 shares of the estimated 1.06 million shares he received in a stock option exercise in October 1998, according to the filing.

He has been president of the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chip manufacturer since May 1997, and CEO since May 1998.

Barrett, 59, earned $454,200 in salary and about $1.8 million in bonus in 1998, according to the company's proxy.

Intel shares closed down 2-3/16 to 71-1/4 on Nasdaq.
