Perhaps she forgot. I don't know. Perhaps the request of the person who was revealed will help get her reinstated.

Seems like things are getting uglier everyday. Hostile behavior and petty bickering is at an all-time high.

BTW--You never answered my question..Do you like "The Tragically Hip"?

Aren't they huge in Canada?

How is anyone suppose to know what is a NO NO or what is not?

Would she have been terminated if she was a self proclaimed guru with a paid web site?

SI is no longer an even playing field! Even Bryan B. doesn't seem to know for sure what constitutes a punishable offense.

Although there is general agreement as to the importance of the SI Terms of Use, there is some confusion over the specific application of those rules. We will try to address that in the next couple weeks by publishing our guidelines for enforcing the SI Terms of Use, as well as examples of what constitutes a punishable offense.

Cheeky (and Cisco): That is a question that needs answering. The information was professional, not personal. It was published in widely available publications (on and off the internet) and a matter of public record. The information used to obtain the data was not obtained by stealth, but available to anyone who read the person's public postings on SI.

I could easily provide you with all of the same information right now by searching SI and the internet, but I don't want to be terminated.

Well, Blue is very apologetic, Cheeky, but she had originally thought that once that information was in the public domain, it was not private any more.

Besides, take another look at the TOU. Put your hand on your heart, and ask yourself: how many harassing and/or obscene and/or vulgar, not to speak of just plain objectionable, posts have you seen? Zillions, I'll bet. Now, put your hand on your heart again, and ask yourself: how many of those posts have been punished by termination? Very few, I'll bet -- and that generally was never after a first offense, but after repeated offenses by the individual concerned.

The TOU do not make clear which No Nos are more No No than others.

So perhaps the TOU need to be sharpened up, as I suggested to SI Bob. First, list those offenses (and be specific about them!) that are punishable by death (termination); then, those that call only for a jail sentence (suspension); and finally, those that will get you little more than a slap on the wrist (a warning or reprimand).

Fair enough?

Cheeky,

Isn't this what got you in hot water with a favorite former poster of ours?<G>

I wish she could come back again.
