Here is a site for whiplash which offers both free information and paid for information. I think that method is very effective for selling products as most who need the services will have need to go further than the free stuff provides. I suspect there are other sites like this and perhaps Medsite.com could pattern itself after this or a similar moddle.

whiplash101.com

Insidently, if anyone knows how I can help my wife suffering from cronic pain as a result of whiplash please let me know. I would dearly love to know an expert in this field who can help her with neck, back, leg and SI joint pain! It is getting worse since the accident of almost 2 years ago.

Thanks.

Ray

Thanks, md - your user's point of view will be valuable to us the great unwashed. It would be good to hear from other physicians using a variety of sites, to get some kind of overall impression of the whole business and where it's going.

Looks like drkoop values medsite's opinion -g- [scroll two-thirds down] -
drkoop.com

From koop's site, a 13 Sept article, mentions koop and five others -
forbes.com .. sounds like they're all in active development, it really is a race. Of course the great majority of these sites are directed at the public, not the medical community as is medsite.

Their core revenue stream now is from book sales, it sounds like. It will be interesting to see how they develop the leasing - medmoney.com ... and the insurance and credit card sides, seems like if they can compete there as efficiently as they have in book supply, they should build a solid base for growth. Saving doctors time and money, that's what it's all about, i guess eh ... cheers
