Marcos: Just a thought, from one in the trenchs, as they say...keep in mind that the medical profession, at least here in the states is in a long term, secular "bear market"...what do I mean by that...well our businesses are all revenue generation (as opposed to investment income etal) and revenues have been under pressure ever since Clinton became president...infact medicare cuts were so devastating back in 1990, that I got audited by the IRS due to drastic drop in taxes paid!!! And each year my fee for every surgical procedure I do continues to go down, with no "pay increase" in site...we, in the profession have had to drastically sharpen our business skills (yes we do have some) and run highly proficient businesses or else we might just as well go work for HMOs...having said that...most of us still are not good businessmen and those who aren't, struggle..bottom line..we will need very rapid consolidation and aggressive market penetration and name recognition of any medical related web site geared to the medical profession, with an overdose of loss leaders, perhaps similar to what PeoplePC is now doing...in terms of getting revenue from the public..good luck..there is a staggering amount of medical information from all medical institutions on the web now with several fairly good search engines to those sites...bottom line #2...working aggressively with the ama web site may be the best way to accomplish any business objectives medsite has in mind. doc
