PB, re:CuMine scaling. The 0.25 PII started at 333 and scaled to 450 before a mid-life improvement (PIII). If I apply the same ratio to the bottom speed grade of CuMine (533 MHz), we get a max of (whoops) 720 MHz.

This calculation makes sense for the following reason:
Answer the following question: Why would Intel bother with a 533 speed grade if more than 90% of the speed distribution of the CuMine was at 600 and above?

The answer is, they wouldn't. It would make more sense to throw away 10% of the CuMine's, especially since the support for the 133 bus is so poor. THEREFORE, there must closer to 20% of the CuMine's that can't even run at 600 MHz.

The very existence of a 533 speed grade proves that CuMine speed distributions are not so great.
