I believe I know why the 533 was released, and if anyone who is familiar with process revs, tapeouts, fab throughput, etc. , really thought about it, and other various historical factors in the recent past, they could come up with a scenario that explains the 533 but does not have the same conclusion about bin split. Also, maybe Intel released it because they thought their may be a market for it with the i810. I admit I don't have all knowing insight into Intel's marketing decisions. Ostensibly, I can almost agree with you that the 533 seems extraneous. However, to assume it's release suggest the bin split scenario you outline above is an assumption that may be perilous. I am sort of perplexed at the lack of any Coppermines on pricewatch, et al. If they don't show up within a few days, I'm going to be concerned. It seems the 533 and 600 B's exhibited a considerable lag, and I know they were shipping at the time. Can't explain it. PB
