We have talked about this some at home. I missed the interview. I wonder if Dan caught it out in Phoenix -- he's out there pitching in the Men's Senior World Series this week. THe week he lives for.

Pete Rose was an incredible competitor. (although my big crush was on Johnny Bench). Apparently he had a bad gambling problem. (Does this remind you of Clinton? How many people said- well, he has a sickness... but he's doing a good job of running the country.)
I guess it comes down to what the qualifications are for Hall of Fame. But if it's just on the basis of baseball achievement, he sure should be in there. I personally have some problems with it.
I guess the other argument is that he had an illness... but if he's now all belligerent about "Show me the proof", he's missed the point.
