How did you know that someone did or tried to get in to you puuter before you had that detector ? Did it screw up your computer ?

That's why you could not e-mail me on the other machine over the summer.

that address hangs off my son's UNIX machine. He was pestered by hackers before he left for Canada and threw up firewalls.

Fortunately, the firewalls worked...
Unfortunately, I was also locked out until he returned. He forgot to allow me access.
