<OFDM technologies have found increasing favor in realms as diverse as wireless LANs and third-generation (3G) cellular phones.>

I am confused by the statement use in "cellular phones." I was under the impression the Cisco OFDM announcement related to fixed wireless. Doesn't cellular imply mobile?

RE: "A possible fly in the Cisco ointment?" - I agree that Wi-LAN cannot be ignored when it comes to OFDM. They are definitely pioneers and leaders in this sector, have signed deals and contracts in place -- and yes -- they hold the key patents!.

S/S

PS: Wi-LAN currently trades at under US$10.00/share (CDN$14.50) and has has a nice run lately. Note that beginning tomorrow, the shares debut on Canada's senior market, The Toronto Stock Exchange. (symbol "WIN")
