Tom

It is interesting that my evolutionary programming "tuner" found around 131 days to be optimum for an ema when trading ISIP. I noticed earlier that using shorter emas would provoke evidence that trades could occur on the wrong side of the line and see less productive of profits. That caused me to include ema-period as a tunable element. That's not all that far off from the 162 days that a 26-week ema gets. Only difference, however, is that side-of-ema is one of the trading rules built into my system.

From what you say, however, AIM, at least AIM as implemented in Newport is very efficient all by itself. Heck. Maybe my tuning isn't necessary after all. Time will tell.

Cheers
Jack
