According to Dell (DELL), the world's No. 2 maker of personal computers (but tops in the U.S.), you can easily get by with 32 megabytes of DRAM. According to Compaq (CPQ), the world's largest PC manufacturer (but now No. 2 in the U.S.), nothing less than 64 bits will do. I'm not sure how much you can get done in 64 bits (=8 bytes) of DRAM in a computer. Compaq must have some incredible memory compression built into their systems! <G> So much for quality editing! Dave
