Something I don't understand -- the article said Intel would be "providing" servers with Linux. Does that mean Intel will be assembling complete servers, or are they going to get the hardware from, e.g., CPQ, DELL, etc.?

The more fundamental change I had in mind would be to run Corporate services on Linux, such as payroll, accounting, purchasing etc. I believe Sun runs theirs on Sparc/Solaris.

Didn't it come out btw, in the M$ antitrust trial that M$ did their accounting by *hand? (there's 'prestidigitation', twister)

Actually, everyone I've ever met who works at Intel uses an Ultra at work. It sounds like serious heterogeneous environment that would best run on... a couple of E10k Solaris servers running multiple OSs (Cascade).

Still, what's up with the IIS web server? Now they're going to have to remove all that embraced and extended HTML and re-write all the pages in STANDARD HTML.
