Nick the talk is that, as of the start of the
quiet period, it was still up in the air. given the factors i highlighted in my last post (mainly my perception that
they have some wiggle room based on the carry over from the large Q4 revenue shortfall), this is incredible to
me. orders were tracking very well, supply chain problems behind them...... and still they're struggling to meet
low ball estimates?!!!!! whether they miss or not, there is some explaining to do.

Do you think, that after being optimistic in Q4 about quarter, before quiet period, and not delivering b/c supply chain problems, which was not fully realized at that time,
the company is overcautious, just in case if something not even related to NN will happen.(?)
In Q3 on the other had, after quiet period stared, TDM suddenly has droped.
I personally, would be overcautious too.
I doubt NN has shipped they target revenue on 10/15, but by now(?)

What do you think?

Regards
Zbyslaw

Nick: Thx. As you are aware NN joined a number of stocks in the penalty Box. The penalty box group of stocks are excellent plays for portfolio adjustment.

Managers who own these stocks and have large trading profits use these stocks to create artificial losses by selling them even lower to their sister Funds. The sister Fund then has a spectacular rise when the stock rebounds. Its a great way to exchange taxable profits for capital gains(less tax). I have a list of such stocks many of whom were driven down even though they exceeded their earnings forecast.

The big Q remains if this applies to NN. That can be determined on Monday. If the slide stops,it will confirm the Portfolio adjustment. If it does not, then it will likely be earnings related.

Valuation can only be meaningful once this issue is resolved.

Cheers.
